Roskill Baptist Church was planted in 1923 by a man named Enoch Wood, who saw some children playing on the street and felt called to reach them with the gospel. The bible study he started for those kids grew into our church.
Ever since then Roskill has been fueled by a desire to join with God in his mission, as well as to grow deeper in our relationships with him, and each other. Today, Roskill Baptist Church is made up of people who come from all sorts of different backgrounds, ages and ethnicities. We are a church family who are keen to be a part of seeing God's Kingdom come in our own lives, and in our community, united in our love for Jesus and doing our best to follow him.
As well as all of that, we're also a part of the Baptist Union of New Zealand. You can find out more about that here.
