What To Expect
If you're visiting with us for the first time, here's what you can expect...
Parking
Parking is available at the side of our church building. This is where you'll find parking spaces for those with disabilities. If you continue through here, you will arrive at another car park behind the church.
At The Door
When you enter the church foyer, you'll be greeted and handed a church bulletin. The bulletin includes contact information as well as announcements about what's coming up in the life of Roskill Baptist.
Finding A Seat
From the foyer, you can make your way through the doors and into the main auditorium. As you come in, there will be an aisle directly in front of you, as well as to your left. You can take a seat wherever you would like to, and if it's looking full, someone will help you to find an available space. Our Sunday service begins at 10am, and it's a good idea to be at the church five or ten minutes before the service begins.
Our Services
We meet together on Sunday at 10am. Our services are friendly, relaxed and welcoming to people of all ages. Usually we'll sing a mix of contemporary worship songs and hymns, pray a bit, hear about what's going on in the life of the church, and listen to a sermon that explains and applies a biblical text. Programmes are provided during the service for children aged 3 -12. These will begin about 10 minutes into the service, and leaders will be available to take your children to their programme at that time. A parent-run creche, located just off the foyer, is available for children under 3 years old. We share in communion together on the first Sunday of the month.
After The Service
Once the service is over, you're welcome to stick around for some coffee or tea, and to have a chat. If you'd like to know about the church, there's lots of information available on the the table in the foyer that you can feel free to take with you as you go.
